A template based php development tool and framework
http://www.templatetamer.com/
TemplateTamer is a web application development tool for creating and maintaining a template based dynamic PHP web applications, with clearly and completely separated php code from the html design. As such it is a great tool for complex dynamic sites, especially where Designers and Programmers work together on the creation of the site.

I've just had a look and play arond with this tool. Although it is quite easy to use I found a few drawbacks.
Firstly, after the pages are generated by the editor, you are left with two files which are pure php with the html inside those pages. One of the things I like about other template systems is that the template file itself is separate from the logic files and you can have a non-technical person alter the template without breaking the application. With TemplateTamer your non-technical staff will not have a separate template they can alter as required. Of course, you could always cut and paste the template from TemplateTamer into a text file for their use but this seems an un-necessary extra step IMHO.
Another drawback is that all the files have to reside in the root directory of the website, which is unreasonably restrictive for a large website.
Finally, I like my html files to have the .htm extension rather than the full .html. Ok so I'm a fusspot :)
It is a nice application, but not a real change from how I already work with my favourite Sigma templates in Homesite, and with a lot less flexibility.
