Description:
rgod has discovered a vulnerability in Digital Scribe, which can be exploited by malicious people to conduct SQL injection attacks and compromise a vulnerable system.
1) Input passed to the "username" parameter in "login.php" isn't properly sanitised before being used in a SQL query. This can be exploited to manipulate SQL queries by injecting arbitrary SQL code.
This can further be exploited to compromise a vulnerable system if combined with inappropriate functionality which allows editing the PHP files "header1.php", "header2.php", and "footer.php" via the template editing functionality.
The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 1.4. Other versions may also be affected.
Solution:
Edit the source code to ensure that input is properly sanitised.
