SFTP for alternate users

Additional FTP users seem to be unable to connect using sftp. sftp is only working for the main user on the account. Can other users be added as valid sftp users?

Yes. I want to have a vendor upload things to an sftp directory, so there is no reason to give them access to the whole directory structure.

I am sorry that we cannot meet those needs. I do have an alternative idea for you.

You could install the open_SSL ValueApp. It will give your site SSL using a temporary certificate. You then could install a PHP upload script and password protect the directory. Your vendor could login and upload/view files, etc.
