I don't see anything on your site yet about TransAct. Is there a link you can post? Will it work with X-Cart?
Thanks

Hey Bullfrog,
We have not published any details on our website yet. We are actually working on a new website which will be released in the next few months and will include info. on TransAct.
Yes, TransAct works with X-cart. We have created a payment module and it is completely integrated with X-cart. Please contact us and we can give you all of the details.

Does TransAct work with existing merchant accounts? I have a merchant account but it's not "web activated". I use a standard credit card terminal. Would it be possible to use TransAct for my webiste while still using my terminal for offline sales?
Yes, It is possible to use it with existing merchant accounts. But there are reasons to consider getting a separate one just for your Internet transactions. It depends on the number of the transactions that you are doing and the current "discount" rate.
BTW, Why is it that banks get away with calling their fees, a "discount" rate.

So far, my sales are too few to warrant a 2nd merchant account. And you're right, to name an additional charge as a "discount" is either a huge contradiction, or an ingenious peice of marketing (or both).
I will contact you offline to get more details. Thanks.
Feel free to contact me anytime. I am here from 7am central to whenever. At least 4 or 5pm.
Hey I want to know more about this.

If you pay more then $25 in Paypal fees per month, then Tran$act would be more cost effective.

Just wanted to say that I've been using the transact payment gateway service for over a year, and it's a GREAT service. Absolutely no problems or issues. It's safe, accurate, and convenient.
